On Wednesday, Volodymyr Lytvyn, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met H.E. Mr. José Rodríguez Moyano, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Ukraine, on the Occasion of the Commencement of the Diplomatic Mission in Ukraine
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada called for the strengthening of the bilateral relations in all the spheres political, economic scientific. "I am convinced that there are all the necessary grounds for it", - V. Lytvyn declared adding that "the colossal experience of international political activity will let us provide qualitatively new stage in relations between our nations and countries"
In his turn, the Ambassador is convinced in the dynamic development of Ukrainian-Spanish relations in particular regarding the economy sphere as according to him a lot of Spanish enterprises are interested in the working on the territory of Ukraine. "We possess common interests and values he emphasized. The basis for the bilateral relations is the sympathy of our people concerning one another". José Rodríguez Moyano highly appreciated the achievements of Ukraine on the path of democratic and economic reforms implementation.
José Rodríguez Moyano reminded that during the first six months of the next year Spain would be in the chair of European Union and declared that the issue on cooperation between EU and Ukraine would be of prior importance.
The Ambassador also informed that at the beginning of November the visit of Minister on Foreign Affairs of Spain would be held to Ukraine.
The Parties stressed the importance of the further development pf the parliamentary component of the bilateral relations and the strengthening of cooperation in the cultural sphere.
